Savage Gay Garden

Pretty boy ex–Savage Garden member Darren Hayes has come out. Gay blog Towleroad.com sent us to Hayes’s Web site where he tells the world that he married his partner of two years, Richard, in a ceremony in England in June, saying it was the happiest day of his life. He added, “I’m proud of who I am, and after what felt like an eternity, I’m finally in a place where my heart is secure and content. And I can finally make sense of all the searching.” With partner Daniel Jones in the soft rock–pop duo Savage Garden, Hayes had several late-’90s hits, including “I Want You,” “I Knew I Loved You,” “To the Moon and Back,” and “Truly, Madly, Deeply,” and sold over 23 million albums.
