ST PETERSBURG, Russia (Reuters) - A microphone picked up an unaware U.S. President George W. Bush saying on Monday Syria should press Hizbollah to "stop doing this shit" as they discussed the upsurge in violence in the Middle East.

Bush was talking privately to Prime Minister Tony Blair during a lunch at the Group of Eight summit in St Petersburg.

Neither immediately realised a microphone was transmitting their candid thoughts on the Middle East and other issues.
